Sativa plants are characterised by leaflets that are more narrow, branches further apart, with a colour that leans more towards spring green. Sativa plants tend to be taller and produce fewer flowers.

Indica plants are characterised by broad over-lapping leaves, with their branches vloser together, and more of a deep olive green colour. They tend to be shorter and bushier, producing fuller, denser flower buds.

Ruderalis tend to be smaller with varied leaflets. This subspecies can be used to create Sativa or Indica Hybrids with the selected desired traits.

Sativa strains generally contain higher levels of CBD to THC, whilst Indica strains are the opposite.
